Supplier Secured Documents (SSD)
JDSN Supplier Secured Documents (SSD) is a tool that allows the Supplier to access routinely sent documents in a secure environment. The process of posting this documentation is done through system integration and does not provide John Deere with a means to manually post documents that are not to be communicated on a regular basis. The documents are specific for the given Supplier and only that Supplier has access to those documents. A John Deere employee has access to all documents that have been made available to all suppliers. SSD is a tool to enable one way sharing from John Deere to the Supplier. It is not meant to be a long-term document repository. Documents published through the SSD tool have a limited lifespan. Once the designated duration is reached, the documents are deleted from the tool.
