JD CROP
The John Deere Cost Reduction Opportunities Process (JD CROP) is one of several criteria under the Cost Management Category of the Achieving Excellence Process. It was designed with supplier input to engage, capture, and communicate supplier efforts in cost reduction. Suppliers are expected to submit suggestions that total 3% or more of their current business with Deere. Submissions are made to the various factories/units they supply using a web-based tool. Ideas should focus on eliminating costs that will result in bottom line savings to Deere, the supplier and its customers. JD CROP also supports supplier integration by acknowledging savings within the Product Delivery Process (PDP).
