Why do I need a John Deere userid? |
You need a John Deere userid to access proprietary information about your company and Deere, such as AE, JD CROP, or JD Supplier Warranty |
|
How do I get a John Deere userid? |
Userids are only assigned to contacts at active, approved suppliers that have a supplier number assigned to them by Deere & Company. Userids are not assigned to prospective/potential suppliers because a supplier number does not exist for them yet. If your company has a supplier number issued to you, but does not have access to your proprietary information on jdsn.deere.com, you should contact the supply management representative for the John Deere unit with whom you already do business. The supply management representative will get the userid process started. |
|
What type of information does my company need to provide in order to access JDSN |
- Each individual requiring a userid will be required to "Accept" the current JDSN "Terms of Use" agreement.
- Each individual user will be required to have a current email address and telephone number for their contact information within Supplier Profile.
|
|
Which people in my company should have access to JD Supply Network? |
At the minimum, the following people should have access to JD Supply Network:
- Achieving Excellence Contact, i.e., Sales Manager
- Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Contact
- JD CROP Contact, i.e., Mfg/Eng Manager
- Warranty Contact, i.e., Quality Manager
|
|
What responsibilities are associated with having a Deere userid? |
Once your company is connected, someone in your organization should be responsible for the following:
- Maintain a list of employees with Deere userids. Be sure to record the userid assigned to each individual.
- Remind each employee with a Deere userid that userids and passwords are to be used only by the person to whom it was assigned.
- Notify each user that their password expires every 90 days, and should register for the "Forgot Your Password" tool.
- Notify John Deere Supply Network when an employee no longer requires a userid.
- Notify your John Deere Supply Management representative when an employee needs a userid.
|
|
What if I no longer need my Deere userid? |
Notify John Deere Supply Network. |
|
What is the difference between "user name", "userid" and "RACF id"? |
When you start various applications or complete Deere forms, you may see.... type your "user name", "userid" or "RACF id" and be asked for your password. All three terms refer to the id you are issued after a John Deere representative has requested connectivity and security access to JDSN on your behalf. Different programmers use different terminology. None of the Deere applications will recognize your name or your company's name. The applications only recognize the id issued to you. |
